BE IN! Network of accessible and inclusive film festivals
A European network of festivals and cultural agents working to ensure equitable access to audiovisual culture.
About BE IN!
The Be In! Network of Accessible Film Festivals is a collaborative platform founded in 2019 by six European festivals with a shared goal: to promote accessibility, inclusion, and diversity in the film industry. The network brings together events that are committed to measures such as audio description, subtitles, and accessible spaces, as well as giving visibility to filmmakers with disabilities. Through the exchange of knowledge and best practices, it fosters innovation and collaboration among its members.
Be In! advocates that participation in culture is a fundamental right and works to eliminate barriers and create inclusive environments. Furthermore, it promotes a universal vision of accessibility that benefits all of society.
Accessibility is not an extra: it is a cultural responsibility

Accessibility
Accessibility is at the heart of BE IN!. The network promotes accessible film festivals that guarantee the participation of everyone, especially those with disabilities. Its members implement measures such as accessible subtitles, audio description, sign language interpretation, and adapted screenings to enhance the audience experience. They also work with accessible physical spaces and clear, inclusive communication. Furthermore, they develop tools and resources to advance towards a truly inclusive culture.
